This participant feedback was anonymous. Each participant received an online questionnaire at the end of our five-week workshop series. One hundred percent of participants felt safe in our work together. Here are some selected comments that serve as testemonial to the work.

"This project embraces how able, creative, intelligent, and highly awake mothers are in society, although incredibly tired. It shows how important mothers and their thoughts are, especially after having brought life into this world. Valuing yourself and understanding your worth in exchange with other mothers is relevant to strengthen women."

"I think that this project is very relevant because it gives women the opportunity  to meet up  with a group of people  who are experiencing the same  challenges as I – we  don't always agree or  do the same way,   but they  are friendly, supporting and encouraging."

"I liked the games which so closely related to different dynamics between parent and child. They gave me an enhanced empathy and understanding of how my daughter may see the world."

"I loved the games because I had forgotten how difficult it is to play games with strangers and how enriching. And I am so thankful for this reminder not only that play is important but that it is also difficult and socially challenging. We expect it so early from our children to function and I am thankful that this new / old view on games , this little reminder, will give me patience with my child."

"I really enjoyed the physical work, the improvisations. They made me realise that I really would love to explore this kind of work further. I also really enjoyed creating a timeline with random objects, at first I found it really daunting but once I started it  all became clear and I loved my creation. I am very verbal so I found challenging and interesting to express myself that way. Very creative."

"I sincerely hope that this work finds a place and space to be continued. Mariana was without doubt a fantastic facilitator. Gifted, natural and with a real flair for this work."

"I felt safe knowing that I did not have to take part in some exercises, and when I chose not to, I did not feel like I had to give any explanation."

"I spent most weeks repeating thoughts and themes explored in the sessions. I thought about our discussions, and how they gave a way to examine and reflect on relationships of the past and present."
